Why you should eat what you want on Thanksgiving!

People often ask me how to “eat healthy” or diet” during the holidays. My answer is always DON’T. If you have no health concerns that a doctor has prescribed a specific diet for, then there’s no reason to deprive yourself over the holidays. I am a huge proponent of making lifestyle changes to your diet. Meaning, making changes to your diet that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Guess what?? Thanksgiving and the holiday season is going to be around for the rest of your life. So go ahead and indulge! The trick, is not staying off the wagon. This means, keep to your regular routine before the holiday, and returning to it right after the holiday. Also, working out before indulging in your Thanksgiving dinner is a great proactive way to help get rid of some of those excess calories.
