At Home Resistance Band Workout

If you are located in the United States, the time has come for you to help flatten the curve by practicing social distancing. This means, working out from home and keeping 6 feet away from people. This doesn’t mean that you have to stay cooped up in your home all day. Take advantage of going out to your backyard if you have one. You can also use this time to clean up your patio if you have one and make a little workout area. If you happen to live somewhere with a lot of open space like a park, cul de sac, mountain, or beach, go there to get some exercise but keep your distance from people. Make sure to wash your hands and/or hand sanitize. Also, avoid touching your mouth, eyes, and nose. Check the CDC website for more COVID-19 guidelines.

Now that we have addressed the safety concerns, watch the YouTube video below for an at home resistance band workout. I used a blue band which is approximately 30lbs. I would recommend 3 sets of 15 reps if you are a beginner. If you are advanced, try 5 sets of 20 reps!

Additional note: If you have cold or flu symptoms then avoid working out for the time being. Especially if you have trouble breathing, fever, sinus pressure, coughing, and or any symptoms from the neck up. It is recommended to rest and drink plenty of fluids until symptoms are gone.
