Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Self Quarantine

Tip 1:

Support your local Irish Pub or restaurant by ordering takeout and or having food delivered with a “no contact” request. ⁣ Many restaurants are still open for delivery and take out even if their dining rooms have been closed. These businesses are loosing out on a lot of money right now. If you want them to be around for next year’s celebrations, then support them now by placing a to-go order.

Tip 2:

Get your Guinness and Jameson (any alcohol) delivered with Bevmo, Postmates, or Saucey. Check to see if your local liquor store has a delivery or pick up option.

Tip 3:

Video call your friends and play virtual Heads Up together . If you don’t like that game, try a virtual game of Charades. You could also plan to watch movies together by hitting play at the same time or having a watch party on Facebook live.

Tip 4:

Google search for Irish recipes and see if you can improvise with ingredients at home. Try a few recipes out with your family. Tik Tok even has cool ideas for green cookies and cakes. Maybe try making a stew in the Instantpot. Dice up those potatoes for some yummy potato based recipes.

Tip 5:

Make up games at home; Like who can draw the best or worst Leprechaun. ⁣ ⁣You can also see who can make the best rainbow out of things you have around the house. See who can find the most green items in the house. Bust out those green markers, colored pencils, water colors, puff paints, and glitter. Get artsy on paper, old clothes, or furniture. So you see, there are many fun games to be made up and played during this time of chaos.
